1000V DC Surge Protector (SPD)
Leikexing series Solar PV(SPD)DC surge protector
DC surge protectors are mainly used to protect devices that require stable DC power supply, avoiding sudden voltage surges that affect their normal operation.
Type 2 DC Surge Protector (SPD)
Leikexing series type 2 DC solar surge protector
The key parameters of Type 2 surge protector include: surge current, maximum continuous operating voltage Dc, voltage protection level Up, and response time tA. These parameters are crucial for evaluating and selecting the performance of surge protectors.
Specification parameters:
◆ Type 2/T2/Class C
◆ Max. continuous operating voltage Dc: 1000V
◆ Nominal discharge current (8/20 μs) In = 20KA Type 2
◆ Impulse discharge current (8/20 μs) Imax = 40KA Type 2
◆ Protective elements: Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), Gas Discharge Tube (GDT)
Wiring Diagram & Installation
Leikexing series type 2 DC solar surge protector
DC surge protectors typically have three wiring ports, namely V+, V -, and PE. V+is connected to the positive pole of the DC system, V – is connected to the negative pole, and PE is connected to the ground wire.
DC surge protectors protect the safe operation of equipment by directing surge energy to the ground wire, limiting transient overvoltage. When the voltage exceeds a specific threshold, nonlinear components inside the protector (such as varistors, gas discharge tubes, or transient suppression diodes) quickly conduct, diverting the excessive voltage to ground. Under normal voltage, the internal resistance of the protector is very high and will not affect the normal operation of the equipment; In the case of instantaneous surge, the impedance of the protector rapidly decreases, providing timely protection for electrical equipment.
1. Wiring port description:
V+: Connect the positive pole of the DC system.
V -: Connect the negative pole of the DC system.
PE: Connect the ground wire.
2. Wiring steps:
Connect the V+port to the positive pole of the DC system.
Connect the V-port to the negative pole of the DC system.
Connect the PE port to ground wire.
3. Installation precautions:
Before installing surge protectors, it is necessary to ensure that the power is disconnected to prevent electric shock accidents.
Ensure that the total length of the wiring from SPD to ground does not exceed 0.5 meters.
Select the appropriate connection wire diameter based on the level of SPD.
When wiring, attention should be paid to fixing the wiring terminals to ensure a firm and stable connection.
